Chris' latest project
A couple of weeks ago, Chris announced to me on a Thursday night that he was going to make Owen a bed the next day. I've learned to just say "ok" and let him get out in the garage and do his thing. I really didn't pay much attention to what he was doing out there until he asked me to help him put it together. The scale of this picture is off and it makes the bed look bigger than it is. He actually lowered it 4 inches after he got it into his room and I took these pictures.
I'm pretty impressed with his work and Owen is VERY proud of his new bed. He loves doing work like this and does a lot of work after school, weekends, and school breaks for different people. He's definitely happiest when he's building something....or doing demo!

Aiden - 5 months
Aiden you're a busy boy these days! You're definitely coming into your own. In the past few days you've decided that you'd rather be upright than just laying around so thanks to the cool Hugga-Bebe we got as a shower gift you're enjoying spending time in the jumper.

Here are your current stats:
weight: somewhere in the 14 lb range
clothes: 3-6 months with size 2 diapers
feeding: taking 6 oz of formula every 3 hours like clock work! We give you cereal at supper time and you tolerate it but I'm looking forward to being able to offer you more variety with baby food
sleeping: sleeping in your own bed but getting up 1-2 times a night to eat
Things you love: sitting up, watching cartoons with Owen, playing with your rings, snuggling with your night-night, being outside, being tickled, taking a bath
We're enjoying every day with our jolly little Aiden!

Clydesdales
The Clydesdales came to town for the Blossom Festival this year. Since Owen is obsessed with horses, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go visit them.
Here's how they arrived....
they really are something to see

Eatin Meetin
The title is a shout out to my cousin Jon-David. When we were little and our family was much larger than it is now we had get togethers every month at different people's houses. He always called them eatin meatins. Unfortunately we don't get together now as often as we used to but we had a great old fashioned eatin meatin last weekend at Uncle Mike's. The weather was perfect, the location was perfect, the food was amazing, and everyone had a great time! Here are just a few of the pictures from the day. I may put some more up tomorrow but I really need to go to bed so this is all I've got for tonight.

Until Reed and Aiden get a little bigger Owen is stuck playing with the girls. He loves them and doesn't seem to mind!

Top Ten Things I Love About Our New House....#3 and 4
#3 The Playroom
We have an enclosed porch on the back of our house that makes a perfect playroom for the kiddos. There are french doors from our living room that lead to it and also french doors from the master bedroom that lead to it....plus french doors that lead outside from the playroom....lots of doors in our house (and light switches...but that's a story for another day)! From the photo below you can see how much Owen uses the playroom. As long as those toys stay out there and out of the living room I don't care what it looks like!
The playroom is L-shaped and this is the long end. It actually goes on out from the left of this picture which is the end that's located by our bedroom. It was definitely a selling point when we looked at the house!
#4 The View
I have been a city girl my whole life (if you call living inside the city limits of Magnolia "city living"). When we found out we were having another boy, we knew that moving out into the county would be best for our family. We went from living on one of the most traveled roads in Magnolia to living out on a dead end county road with beautiful views and we LOVE it! Here are some of the beautiful views we enjoy every day:

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a new camera! Owen gave it to me for Mother's Day (and Aiden too!) since he broke mine a couple of months ago.
I LOVE it and I've taken 223 pictures since last Saturday so get ready for some new posts!
Those that know we are doing some renovations to our house will see what our next project is from this picture (navy, flowers, wallpaper.....not a good look for the kids bathroom). So, get ready....new posts coming soon!
